Scheduling an appointment
Do you have a referral?
If so, you can call the department on weekdays to schedule an
appointment. You will be put through to the right department when
calling the general phone number: (0182) 50 50 50.
Do you not have a referral?
Call your general practitioner, mental disability specialist,
geriatric specialist, company doctor, midwife or dentist first. If
you schedule an appointment with the specialist without first
obtaining a referral, you will have to pay the full cost of your
consultation or treatment yourself.
Foreign language speakers
Do you speak a language other than Dutch at home? You may prefer
to speak with doctors and nurses in your own language. At our
hospital, you can do so using the Tolkentelefoon (interpreter
Are you unable to keep a scheduled appointment?
Call the outpatient clinic (on weekdays) as quickly as possible
to cancel your appointment. You can schedule a new appointment at
the same time. We reserve the right to charge you for your
appointment if you do not cancel within at least 24 hours.
What to consider if you have been hospitalised
Please let us know if you have been hospitalised abroad over the
past year. This is because you may have been infected with MRSA
bacteria. This 'hospital bacteria' is resistant against
antibiotics. We want to prevent this bacterium from spreading in
our hospital by taking the right measures at the right time.
Deaf or hard of hearing
Are you deaf or hard of hearing and require a sign language
interpreter for your consultation with the doctor or nurse? We
recommend arranging an interpreter via the Tolknet before coming to
the hospital. If you arrange this yourself, you will not be charged
anything. If the hospital arranges this for you, you will be
charged a registration and interpretation fee. Obviously, the
hospital will arrange for an interpreter for you in cases of

Your general practitioner will explain the process and expected
access time. You will receive an information leaflet on the
treatment and clear explanation of how the appointment can be
